Why does MoldNews exist?
Because mold is everywhere, but accurate information about it isn’t.
Mold affects health, homes, supply chains, and products around the world. Yet when people search for answers, they’re often met with confusing myths, unverified remedies, or fragmented reports.
MoldNews was built to change that.
We’re a nonprofit knowledge platform that provides science-based, practical, and unbiased mold information — for everyone, free of charge.
Who created MoldNews?
MoldNews is operated by YCM Products Co., Ltd., a mold-focused research and technology company based in Taiwan.
For over a decade, YCM has worked with brands like Nike, Puma, and global manufacturers to prevent mold through field audits, laboratory diagnostics, and environmental data collection. Along the way, we’ve gathered a vast archive of mold cases, imagery, patterns, and prevention insights.
But we knew that knowledge shouldn’t stay behind lab doors or factory walls.
So we decided to open it to the world.
